DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST-12 HOUR SHIFTS

The Radiologic Technologist performs various imaging exams for patients following established techniques and procedures. The Technologist will cross train in various in-house modalities. Technologist is familiar with care involving radiology and fluoroscopy, performs routine diagnostic procedures to assist practitioners in their patients diagnosis and treatment plans. Full-time second shift position working 12 hour shifts Thursday through Saturday. May work other days or shifts as scheduling needs arise.
Responsibilities and Duties
Sets up and operates stationary and mobile x-ray equipment
Takes radiographs and CT scans of various body parts, positioning patients precisely and adjusts equipment for appropriate radiation exposures
Prepares and positions patients for fluoroscopic exams, adjusts controls, prepares solutions and assists the Radiologist in preparation and injection of contrast materials.
Assists with quality control tests of equipment and maintains records for the department
Other services include ultrasonography, mammography, surgical C arm, and DEXA.
Participates in and supports Studer Group practices and initiatives
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to explain tests and empathize with patients, prioritize work and problem solve throughout shift.
Graduate of accredited program in Radiologic Technology with ARRT or equivalent is required and become CPR certifed within first year of employment.
