PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT or ARNP

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA/ARNP) delivers primary and specialty care with a high degree of expertise by formulating an evidence-based care plan based on assessment, examination, and selected diagnostic procedures within his/her scope of practice.  This position collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

The PA/ARNP primarily provides diabetes education, wound care, and foot nail care.  
Clinical services also provides education to patients, families, and clinical staff.
Occupational medicine coverage as needed under the direction of the Occupational Medicine physician.

Qualifications and Skills:

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Certification in specialty areas or active progress shown for attainment of certification
Current licensure as PA or ARNP in the state of Iowa
Preferred experience in care of wounds and certification as Certified Diabetes Educator
Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
